2017 Annual Parish Meeting and Potluck Lunch
Sunday, January 29
On Sunday, January 29th we will gather as usual for our regular Sunday morning worship at both our 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. services. Following those services, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we will have our annual meeting. We will gather in community and share a potluck meal, and then cover our meeting agenda. We really encourage and request that everyone plan to join us for this time of reflection on our past year, and participate as we joyfully plan for the upcoming year. Childcare will be available.
We invite all baptized and confirmed/received members of our community, aged sixteen and over, to prayerfully consider serving on our vestry. The vestry is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. St. Philip's bylaws allow for between seven to eleven members on the vestry. Currently, we have seven vestry team members. Two of those members will be ending their term, and one space is open due to the death of Fran Soule, so we will need at least three nominees, and could accommodate up to six nominees.
We also invite all members to consider serving as a delegate to our diocesan convention. As determined by our average Sunday attendance, which for 2016 was 74, we are eligible to have three delegates, and one alternate.
If you are moved to explore a term on the vestry or as a delegate, please contact any member of our vestry or Pastor Mary for a conversation about how things work.
